Gary Reisman has joined the preset making team - These are actually project files, and not just Animation Presets. Some of the elements that we will feature here are simple, but others may rely on complex animations. Download the ones you want to, and see what we've done. Plugins help you easily create visuals that would otherwise take up too much production time. While some plugins, like Fast Blur are fairly easy to control, sometimes the plugins themselves can eat up production time.... especially highly detailed plugins like TRAPCODE PARTICULAR.
Emerson and I are playing around with several different plugins, but in the next few weeks, we'll focus on the TRAPCODE bundle.
This week GARY REISMAN has submitted a great project. More than just a simple particle style; this project actually shows how you can put Trapcode to use by creating a WIPE. This transition effect employs Trapcode Particular to make a cool way to bring on your element (text or otherwise).
You can find Gary in the DMN After Effects forum answering questions from every angle. A serious broadcast animator, Gary knows what needs to get done and how to do it - you can contact Gary for project work by sending him an email to his dot-mac account.
Every week (or every other week), we'll present some more presets; some obvious, others complex. If you want to be featured, send me an email.
We'll present things from the standard plugins as well as third party sets. If you have any questions about them, you can check out the PLUGIN CENTRAL forum, or if your question is After Effects specific, you can check out the AFTER EFFECTS forum here on DMN Forums. You'll want to check in to those forums for special discount notices and other announcements that you won't find on the regular stories.
